No. Kind Mind Counseling is a virtual therapy practice and all therapy sessions will be provided online.

You will be sent a private link to your email address by Alma, a highly secure electronic health record system. All telehealth counseling will take place via Alma Telehealth, a HIPAA-compliant video platform within the Alma portal.

All client personal health information is protected under the HIPAA Privacy Rule. Additionally, you will receive a Client Consent form and Notice of Privacy Practices prior to the intake assessment where you will learn more information about client confidentiality and your rights as a client.

Anna is an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, and Optum (including Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, United Healthcare), and is an out-of-network provider with all other insurance companies. For clients considered out-of-network, Anna will provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement (*please note that not all insurance companies will provide reimbursement so it’s important you verify what your out-of-network benefits entail prior to starting services).

No. Each insurance company, individual plan, and coverage is distinctly unique. It is the responsibility of the client to verify their benefits, co-pay fees, and deductible before starting treatment. Secondarily, since I am an Alma provider, Alma will conduct an eligibility check prior to the first appointment to verify your coverage on their end. It is always first and foremost, however, the responsibility of the client to be aware of their own mental health benefits under their insurance plan.

Yes. Anna is licensed to practice in the state of Washington (WA) so you would need to be a resident of WA state in order to become a client.

Anna requires that all cancellations be made via email 48 hours in advance. Any cancellations made after that window will be charged the full scheduled session rate.
