Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Anna and I am a licensed mental health therapist who is passionate about helping others thrive and lead the life they want to live. I have been working in the mental health field since 2017 after graduating from the University of Washington with my Master’s in Social Work degree with a clinical focus on mental health. I started out my career working with youth and families and soon transitioned to working with adults, primarily women.
I have extensive experience in treating anxiety and trauma, and have been privileged to have front row seats to witness the power of therapy and courage interact in astounding ways. There may be a lot of suffering in the world, yet what also holds true is the reality that we human beings are extraordinarily resilient, brilliant, and courageous. I believe every person possesses innate worth and has so much to offer the world with their unique personality, talents, passions, and wisdom.
For those who are curious about more of the nuts and bolts of my practice as a therapist, this section is for you. Theories that orient my practice and guide my interactions with my clients include attachment theory, trauma theory, cognitive behavioral theory, and the process of neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to rewire and heal through new neural connections), If desired by the client, I can also integrate Christian faith-based counseling into our sessions. To not see a diagnosis, but rather a whole multi-dimensional individual is one of my mottos in counseling. I prioritize forming trusting, empowering therapeutic relationships with my clients and consider it one of the deepest honors that I can come alongside them in their journey of wellness and healing.
Outside of counseling, I treasure spending time with my husband and daughter. In addition, this former Southern California resident loves soaking in all the sunshine she can get, hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and eating good food with her loved ones.
